After a well earned Christmas break Heron are back onsite, in full production, and overall progress continues to be pleasing. We are 30% through the dredging, and most of the area under the reclamation footprint has been dredged. On the reclamation construction side the mudcrete bund is almost complete. This bund in conjunction with some temporary sheetpiles which were driven during the site being established, will close off the southern end of the basin when the tide is below it. This is an added level of protection for the environment as we will soon commence dredging the most contaminated area at the head of the basin. The barge mounted dredge should move over to the Eastern side of the basin sometime next week and begin work over there.
